Hi I'm Johnny Parker, a comedy writer from Birkenhead, England.

 

I discovered I could write humour when my English teacher said my homework was laughable. That must have been true, because I've gone on to win prizes for comedy stories and short films.

 

I've written two grown up books, a humour novella and my Uncle Ronnie's WW2 biography. I also have a couple of kids picture books, which go down well with the grandkids.

 

My feature film screenplay Freak House, was one of only a small number of scripts chosen to be critiqued by Hollywood script guru Karl Iglesias at the London Screenwriters Festival.

Sting Like a Butterfly, a one act comedy play was also produced on Liverpool Unity theatre as a finalist in the Write Now writing competition.

When I'm not cheering Tranmere Rovers, I can be found on my allotment digging spuds, battling Bindweed and daydreaming about my next book.
